Most jeans were never designed for a seated body. The back rises too low, seams press into skin all day, and self-catheterisation means undressing completely. For young women who use a wheelchair, something as ordinary as getting dressed can quietly take far more than it should.
These jeans were made to change that.
The cut starts from a seated position. At the waist, the back rises higher than the front — so the fabric fully covers the lower back and stays in place without slipping. The front sits lower at the waist, leaving the stomach uncompressed and comfortable. At the hem, the opposite is true: the front is cut longer than the back, so the fabric falls naturally over footwear and does not ride up at the ankles.
There is no centre back seam. In most jeans, that seam sits exactly where you sit all day — creating pressure, friction and discomfort that builds quietly over hours. Without it, the fabric behaves differently. It simply sits with you.
Where these jeans are different is in how they open. Two long zippers run along the front panel, designed to look like pockets from the outside. They open wide enough for full self-catheterisation without removing the garment. At the waistband, small Velcro tabs replace traditional buttons — discreet, easy to manage, and gentle on the skin.
The fabric is 90% cotton and 10% polyester, chosen for how it wears over time. There is no elastane. We believe the right cut creates comfort — elastane tends to be the first fibre to break down, so instead of relying on stretch, we build the shape directly into the garment. These jeans hold their form.
One functional pocket sits on the right leg above the knee, with a small cat print — because there is no reason practical clothing cannot also make you smile.
Ethically produced in the European Union. Currently available in light wash and classic blue. The mint shade has been discontinued as our fabric supplier no longer carries it — if you have it, it is a limited piece.
