Solutions Engineered for Independence: The Vilber's Story
We are Vilber's, a dedicated, small-scale workshop with a huge heart and an even bigger mission. Our workshop is located in Vangaži, just outside the capital, Riga, where our four-member team—officially recognized as a "Family-Friendly Enterprise"—designs and produces high-quality, functional apparel specifically for wheelchair users.
"When people visit our site, they can't imagine how small we actually are," says Zane, the owner. Yet, what we lack in size, we make up for in passion and precision.
The Biomechanical Approach: Zane Berzina
The driving force behind Vilber's is Zane Berzina. With a background of studying mechatronics, Zane approaches dressing the body not from a style perspective, but through the lens of biomechanics—how a body moves and interacts with its environment while seated. She creates garments outside the rules of conventional apparel design.
Every piece is developed from deep research into the actual needs of wheelchair users, resulting in solutions that are the synthesis of innovative design and real-world necessity for daily living. This commitment to function guides our entire range, from our everyday wear to specialized items like the wheelchair rain capes and wheelchair warm winter clothing.
Since founding Vilber's in December 2023 and opening our workshop doors in the summer of 2024, our small space is busy but always uplifting. We are a social enterprise operating under the supervision of the Ministry of Welfare of Latvia, ensuring our purpose is always rooted in true, life-changing impact.

We always focus on solutions that ease daily care and fortify the user, built on our core principles: Functionality, Longevity, Independence, Dignity, and Style.
Our commitment to function is best seen in our most-praised item: our wheelchair adaptive trousers. They may look awkward on a hanger—with a long hanging bottom and short front—but this uniqueness is the key to their function! As our clients tell us, "They do the trick!" Thanks to their specific, no-back-seam construction, they stay up, cover the back completely while seated, and do not dig into the stomach. That is the Vilber’s difference: engineered solutions that deliver full function and simplify your day.
Our Journey to the Global Stage
In September 2025, we took a monumental step by exhibiting at RehaCare2025 in Germany! This event is the biggest international fair in the hemisphere for rehabilitation and care products. For our small, local team, participating side-by-side with large, experienced global companies was a powerful affirmation that our solutions are needed and valued worldwide.
